Atop Amanpuri's signature steps, Nama captivates with views of the Andaman Sea. Meaning 'raw' in Japanese, Nama follows Japan's UNESCO-recognised tradition of washoku, a style of cuisine that elevates cooking to an art form with exquisitely crafted sushi and sashimi at the heart of the menu.


Collaborating with the visionary architect Kengo Kuma, the restaurant’s design brings forth a harmonious blend of traditional charm and contemporary allure with izakaya-style seating, an omakase counter and a sake bar.
The secret to washoku lies in the chef’s understanding of how to amplify each component of a dish, resulting in beautifully clean and balanced flavours.
