Derived from the Sanskrit word for ‘peace’, aman, and the Sanskrit word for mountain, giri, Amangiri is tucked into a protected valley in the heart of the Grand Circle.

Amangiri is within reach of Phoenix (PHX) and Las Vegas (LAS); local flights also land in Page (PGA) and St George (SGU) airports.

Spring and autumn enjoy mild days and cool nights, and the summer months from June through August provide warm to hot days and pleasant evenings. Winter is marked by crisp days and cold evenings, with occasional light snow.

What to pack

Because of the extreme differences in temperatures during the mornings, afternoons and evenings, it is suggested that visitors bring a variety of clothing with them for a range of temperatures.

Language & Currency
English is the most common language in the US. The US dollar is the unit of currency. ATMs can be found at local banks and Amangiri also facilitates currency exchange at a service fee of 5%.
Don’t Forget
Amangiri is on Mountain Standard Time (MST), two hours behind Eastern Standard Time (EST) or minus six hours GMT. Electricity is 110 volts/60 cycles; convertors for 220-volt appliances as well as plug adaptors are available.
Medical services are available round the clock at Amangiri. The nearest clinic and hospital is located in Page, a 25-minute drive from the resort.

Please check with your nearest US embassy or consulate prior to travel. Guests travelling to the US and holding passports that fall under the Visa Waiver Programme are required to apply online for advance authorisation before travelling. This must be completed at least 72 hours before travel, and once approved is valid for two years or until the passport expires.

The Amangiri team can advise on visas as well as assist with any other travel arrangements, including transfers and private flights.
