DINNER at Ujung Water Palace
Celebrating East Bali’s royal heritage in collaboration with the Karangasem Royal Family, this intimate culinary journey is set within the private grounds of Ujung Water Palace. It begins with a tour of the estate, followed by dinner inspired by the region’s culinary traditions.
The courses unfold accompanied bythe sound of the Penting, lending a timeless grace to this royal experience.

Poolside Balinese Dinner
On the Island of the Gods, the act of serving food is an expression of knowledge and commitment. Meals become moments of connection, where hosts extend their abundance as a gesture of gratitude and every dish brings people closer together.
Set by the iconic three-tiered pool, Bhoga Samātra takes inspiration from this tradition, with local flavours, traditional recipes and culinary craftsmanship coming together to form the foundation of the experience.

Two candlelit tables set apart on the sand, each with its own chef grilling dishes over open flame. When the meal concludes, a private balé awaits beside the bonfire, where the warmth of the fire and the tide’s gentle rhythm create a lingering calm that lasts long after the last course.

Including ten vegetarian, seafood and meat dishes with rice, our Rijsttafel Dinner is rounded off with a trio of sorbets. As well as at Sandikala, the experience can also be enjoyed in the privacy of your pavilion.

Toast the sunset from our Batu Jati Rock Platform overlooking the Lombok Strait and Amankila’s black sand beach. As the sky changes colour, sip locally crafted cocktails accompanied by a selection of delicious canapes.

Learn the secrets of Indonesian cuisine in this hands-on cooking class with Amankila’s Balinese sous chef. After picking your own fresh herbs and vegetables from our garden, you’ll be guided step-by-step in the preparation of a multi-course meal.

Gather for our Megibung Dinner and immerse in the cherished East Balinese tradition of sharing a vibrant platter centred on Nasi Tumpeng - a cone-shaped offering of rice symbolising Mount Agung and the island's sacred abundance.

Every afternoon at The Bar, guests are invited to come together for our Traditional Afternoon Tea, with Balinese coffee, teas and handmade treats crafted by mothers from a nearby village - an inviting taste of local home-style indulgence.
Restaurants are open to Amankila guests and non-residents (subject to availability).
