In the top floor of Casa Grande,  Amanera’s all-day Lounge Bar rises above views of the Atlantic Ocean, with an infinity-edge terrace and tables that gaze out towards the sea. Soak up panoramic views of Playa Grande over complimentary afternoon teas (served daily), evening sundowners or expert-led rum tastings. A light menu of cocktail-ready crudités and croquettes pairs perfectly with the bar’s long list of Latin-infused rums, tequilas and mezcals.

An abundance of choice 

Cocktails from around the Americas make up the mainstay of libations at the Lounge Bar, with margaritas inspired by Amanera’s lush jungle, a selection of rare Caribbean and Central American rums, and smoky mezcals to sip with any sunset. Healthy juices and alcoholic-free cocktails are also available and a carefully curated wine list ticks off New and Old World favourites.  

A natural viewpoint 

Every year, from mid-January to March, the Lounge Bar also acts as a privileged spot to spy thousands of humpback whales as they migrate from the cold waters of the North Atlantic and congregate around the Dominican Republic’s sanctuary-like Samaná Península. View these graceful giants from the Lounge and raise a glass to Mother Nature's marine spectacle.
