Casa Grande

Amanera’s centrepiece dining spot Casa Grande sits on dramatic 60ft cliffs, raised between mountains, rainforest and sea. True to Amanera’s name – which combines the Sanskrit word for ‘peace’ and the local Taíno term for ‘water’ – the indoor-outdoor restaurant nudges against tranquil infinity-edge waterways, making the most of arched Atlantic views. Island-inspired dishes also reflect the all-encompassing ocean setting. A separate Casa Grande dining pavilion can be booked for private events and intimate occasions.

A day-to-night destination

Brunch on a breakfast of classic eggs Benedict or chicken chilaquiles. Cool off with a light poolside lunch of octopus or grilled shrimp. Dine on salmon tiradito and just-caught snapper come evening. Whatever time of day or night, Casa Grande’s open-sided whitewashed design forms an unmistakable island backdrop to Amanera’s take on the Caribbean’s best culinary offerings, all focused around fresh, organic flavours and finely spiced food.

Private dining

Casa Grande’s versatile spaces include The Library, The Poolside and The Cigar Lounge, all of which can be booked for private dinners. Bespoke menus can be created by Amanera’s Executive Chef and wine tastings can be tailored to suit individual tastes. To learn more about the Dominican Republic’s long-standing island traditions and local culture, reserve The Cigar Lounge for dedicated cigar-rolling demonstrations and rum tastings.
