PERTIWI: A Modern Heritage
Discover how fashion can regenerate both land and life through PERTIWI, a collaborative exhibition between Amanjiwo and local heritage clothing brand, SukkhaCitta. The exhibition features regenerative cotton, thoughtfully grown and crafted to return to the earth without leaving waste, embodying a harmonious cycle of renewal. Traditional techniques are celebrated throughout, reflecting generations of cultural knowledge, and highlighting female artisans.

Grounding Spiritual Journey
Aiming to ground the spirit to bring clarity and purpose while renergising body and mind, this minimum three-night journey incorporates temple visits, spa treatments, guided meditation and a series of personalised ancient Javanese rituals ranging from Tolak Balak to Ruwatan. The experience will culminate on the beautiful banks of the Progo River with a picnic breakfast during which to reflect on the retreat's learnings.

Journey through Java by train
Board the regal Kereta Api Wisata train in Jakarta and embark on the full-day, seven-hour journey to Amanjiwo through spectacular scenery with the resort's resident anthropologist. Ensconced in Aman’s private carriage, your journey begins with full-board meals and alcoholic drinks included, plus the benefit of an expert guide to share insights into the historical sites you pass along the way, including the Serayu River, Mount Slamet and Mount Merbabu. Offered to guests year-round, there is no better way to arrive at Amanjiwo and the temples of Borobudur.

Every evening from 7 to 10pm, the hypnotic strains of classical Javanese singing accompanied by the gamelan resonate through Amanjiwo’s colonnaded Restaurant and Bar and out onto its imposing terrace.
