Designed to meet guests’ individual health and wellness goals, Amanbagh’s bespoke Immersions are holistic, restorative retreats incorporating traditional Indian philosophies of medicine and wellbeing. The science of living well

Born in India thousands of years ago, Ayurveda is more than a discipline of medicine; it is a holistic system of healthy living that encompasses every aspect of the self – mind, body and spirit. Amanbagh’s Immersions are each rooted in the principles of Ayurveda, drawing on in-depth assessment from an expert practitioner to prescribe a personalised pathway to achieving inner balance and lasting health.

The pathway to peace

In Ayurvedic thought, the peace of the mind and the health of the body are inextricably linked, and the act of meditation brings both physical and mental benefits. Immersions explore a variety of different meditation techniques, from mindfulness and yoga nidra (yogic sleep) to the ancient mantric intention-setting practice of Hawan fire meditation.

The art of movement

Group and individual yoga practice plays a part in all Immersion programmes, customised to meet the wellbeing needs of the individual participant, as well as their level of experience. Led by expert instructors, sessions of both Hatha and Vinyasa yoga lead participants through a sequence of asana (postures), mudras (gestures) and pranayama (breathing techniques) to improve fitness and flexibility and aid mental clarity.
