Getting to Amanera
By land or by air, Amanera’s dedicated concierge team is on hand to assist with making the journey as seamless as possible – from scheduling private helicopter transfers to arranging luggage free travel.
Entry requirements
All passengers entering or leaving the Dominican Republic on commercial flights must complete the free electronic entry and exit form, which combines the forms of the International Boarding and Disembarkation Card, Customs Declaration, and Declaration Jury of Traveler's Health. The form can be accessed through the following link.
It is recommended to complete the form 72 hours ahead of travel, printing or taking a screenshot of the QR code, and keeping it on hand for arrival, where it will be scanned by the authorities when passing through customs.
Private travel
Those travelling via private charter can choose the nearest airports with the FBOs at El Catey or Puerto Plata airport within closest proximity.
International Flights
From the USA, direct flights to Puerto Plata depart regularly from Miami, New York and Newark via American Airlines, United Airlines and JetBlue.
From Europe, direct flights depart from Madrid to Santo Domingo via Iberia Airlines and Air Europa.
Airport transfers
Luxury SUV or minivan transfers can be organised by Amanera to/from Puerto Plata (90 minutes), Santiago (2.5 hours) and Santo Domingo (2.5 hours) and include VIP fast-track assistance at the airport providing flight details are shared at least 48 hours prior the arrival or departure time. Met at the gate by an agent, guests are assisted with luggage collection, fast-tracked through immigration and escorted directly to their driver.Transfers can also be arranged from the airports of El Catey (80 minutes) and Punta Cana (4.5 hours) if requested.
