Perched above the famed Fifth Avenue, Aman New York’s Premier Suites on Fifth Avenue overlook the iconic streets of Manhattan yet feel a world away from the bustle below. The most spacious one-bedroom urban sanctuaries inspired by the elegant minimalism of Japan’s tranquil, open-plan aesthetic, the 79 square metre (850 square feet) suites blend wood, washi paper and stone to bring nature’s textures within.

The combined bedroom and living area feature state of the art technology, innovative lighting and sumptuous fabrics alongside delicate ink-painted screen reproductions of Hasegawa Tohaku’s Pine Trees mural. Pivot panels with integrated mood lighting separate the living areas and bathroom, with its walk-in shower, oval bathtub and double vanity. Every Premier Suite on Fifth Avenue features either an oversized king or two deluxe twin-beds with a functioning fireplace at its heart.
