Meaningful aspects of Balinese traditions and culture imbue every occasion with a real sense of place and the almost tangible tranquillity so unique to the Island of the Gods. Purifying Mandi Lulur bathing rituals can be incorporated into wedding preparations, while event spaces are blessed with the presence of Penjor (bamboo flags) that symbolise Mount Agung. Traditional music sets the scene at parties and receptions, and ancient dances – whether the romantic Oleg Tambulilingan or the refined Legong – entertain and delight.
Weddings
Spectacular settings to celebrate the once-in-a-lifetime union abound on the resort’s dramatic clifftop and beachside location with panoramic views over the Lombok Strait. High above the jungle-edged coastline beside the resort’s iconic three-tiered pool, say ‘I do’ with the sacred mountains as the only witness. Alternatively, exchange vows on the black sand beach, before walking an aisle strewn with flowers by local Balinese children to the reception in a coconut grove. Venues
The Restaurant
Located next to the main bar with uninterrupted views of the ocean below, Amankila’s open-sided restaurant is well suited to guests hosting large celebrations, seating up to 150 guests. Here, against the serene backdrop of the Lombok Strait, exquisite Indonesian cuisine made with produce sourced from the resort’s own organic farm and garden, setting the scene for the Indonesian inspired celebrations. Guests can also make use of the lofty-ceilinged bar for elegant receptions or welcome drinks.
The Terrace
Situated below the Restaurant, Amankila’s Terrace is set back from the three -tierd infinity pool that cascades through the property's heart. Offering panoramic views, the venue is perfect for smaller seated dinners as well as cocktail receptions.
The Coconut Grove
Seating up to 250 guests, The Coconut Grove is perfect for celebrations of all sizes with Amankila’s Beach Club ideal for more intimate occasions and the resort’s dramatic stretch of sand perfect for larger events. Backed by luscious greenery, The Coconut Grove provides a naturally beautiful canvas for guests to create a uniquely personal gathering.
