Experience Vesak, the most important Buddhist festival commemorating the birth, enlightenment and death of Buddha, with an immersive two-night stay at Amanjiwo. This three-day adventure will captivate while revealing the spirituality that underpins every aspect of life on the Kedu Plain, centred by the magnificent Borobudur. As well as daily breakfast and round trip airport transfers, your stay will include a magnificent Vesak dinner with traditional dancing, held after a blessing and chanting with local monks. Take part in the Vesak procession from Mendut to Borobudur, enjoy a lecture on Buddha's enlightenment and Nirvana, savour breakfast in the rice paddies after morning yoga, and as night falls on your final evening, release glowing lanterns into the sky.

Board the regal Kereta Api Wisata train from the lounge at Gambir Station and embark on a seven-hour journey through spectacular scenery. You will be joined by Amanjiwo’s resident anthropologist, Patrick Vanhoebrouck, who will share insights into Javanese culture and the historical sites you pass along the way. With meals on your journey prepared by Amanjiwo, your Aman experience will begin from the moment you set foot in your private carriage. Included in your two nights at Amanjiwo is daily breakfast and an activity of choice, be it trekking to Menoreh Hill or sunset martinis overlooking the rice paddies.

Designed to inspire renewed confidence and purpose through the grounding of the spirit and reconnection with Mother Earth, Amanjiwo's three-night Grounding Spiritual Journey includes daily spa treatments, ancient Javanese spiritual rituals and guided visits to some of Central Java's most sacred sites. Day 1 begins the process with Aman's Signature 90-minute Grounding Massage. Day 2 includes a sunrise experience of Borobudur, a guided Javanese meditation and a 60-minute spa treatment of choice. Day 3 sees participants exploring Prambanan Temple, experiencing a Tolak Balak cleansing ritual and indulging in another 60-minute spa treatment. On the final morning, a Ruwatan blessing ceremony on the banks of the Progo River is followed by a picnic breakfast in breathtaking natural surrounds.
