At Amanvari, experiences unfold in dialogue with the East Cape’s land, sea and ancestral heritage. From elemental wellness rituals and immersive culinary journeys to desert, mountain and sea expeditions, each encounter is guided by place and season. Horseback riding at sunset, a contemporary Temazcal (sweat lodge) ceremony, fishing followed by open-fire preparation, a round of golf played with desert and sea views and simple moments of stillness by the estuary. All are thoughtfully curated and personalised, inviting a deeper understanding of the landscape and way of life within it.

On Thanksgiving evening, Luma sets one long table for a family-style dinner of seasonal dishes, including classic roasted turkey with sage, best shared as the day’s light fades over the Sea of Cortés.
Estuary Horseback Journey
Gliding through beach, estuary and desert, this freeing journey reveals the East Cape at an unhurried pace. Guided along water’s edge and open terrain, the ride concludes at sunset beside an open fire, where a refreshing regional cocktail is served as a local artisan creates personalised hats for each guest as a meaningful memento of the experience.
Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park
Descending into the protected waters of Cabo Pulmo, this guided underwater experience invites guests to explore one of North America’s oldest living coral reef systems through scuba diving or snorkelling. Schools of reef fish, rays, sea turtles and larger pelagic species move through vibrant coral formations, offering rare proximity to an ecosystem of remarkable biodiversity, carefully preserved and alive with motion.
Catch of the Day – Fishing & Culinary Experience
Venturing onto the Sea of Cortés by private boat, this experience begins with snorkelling and line fishing in waters of exceptional abundance. Returning to shore, our Chef prepares the day’s catch at water’s edge – simply and over open flame in a quietly celebratory ritual.
Sierra de la Laguna - Cañón de la Zorra Expedition
The Sierra de la Laguna rises sharply from the peninsula's coastal plain, its interior a world apart from the shore. Departing by private off-road vehicle, guests travel upstream through the arroyo (riverbed) – the landscape around becoming more rugged along the way. At Cañón de la Zorra, a waterfall feeds crystalline pools where swimming, or simply for sitting awhile with the silence of the mountains, awaits.
