Weddings

The city of Venice is synonymous with romance and weddings at Aman Venice exude this infamous charm. Arriving at Aman Venice by water guests are invited to step into the palazzo’s regal entrance hall, before ascending its sweep of steps to enter the dramatic, light-filled reception rooms. Vows can be exchanged in the Canal Garden or in the ballroom overlooking the Grand Canal before celebrations commence with a candle-lit banquet to the strains of live opera or a string quartet. For multi-day events, two classic boats offer easy group access to the city’s art galleries, Saint Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace, or a day exploring the Venetian lagoon.

Celebrations

In Italy, it is well-known that events with family and friends are commonly centred around the dining table. At Aman Venice, there is no better way to celebrate, with a number of private dining settings, such as the Palazzo Kitchen Table, for the most indulgent of occasions. Seating just 10 diners, this light-filled space can be booked exclusively, where the appropriately named Cook the Lagoon menu offers guests the opportunity to witness and participate in each chef’s culinary interpretation of local ingredients harvested from the Venetian lagoon and its islands. Special events can also be held in restaurant Arva’s dining rooms, with seasonal menus personalised by Executive Chef Dario Ossola and renowned Michelin-starred Chef Norbert Niederkolfer.

The venues

Ballroom - First Noble Floor

The first Piano Nobile was redecorated in 1864 by designer Michangelo Guggenheim and is known as the Ballroom. This piece-de-resistance showcases an Arcadian style with frescoes, Marmorino stucco work and three golden chandeliers alongside a balcony boasting views of the Grand Canal. Exceedingly versatile, the grand space lends itself to wedding receptions or any private event, with space to accommodate up to 100 guests standing, or 90 guests seated. Adding a stunning, avant-garde floral concept, couples can create their own unique vision, setting the room off to perfection.

Yellow Room

The Yellow Room leads directly off the Ballroom and features a fresco by Cesare Rotta, silk wall coverings, a marble fireplace and a bespoke chandelier. Sweeping views over the Grand Canal and the Canal Garden make this space perfect for intimate soirees, weeding parties, or private dinners with an imperial table that accommodates up to 30 guests. Live music, such as harp or chamber music set the tone in the Yellow Room, with wall paintings by the ancestors of Count Giberto Valenti Gonzaga Arrivabene adoring the walls.

Blue Room

Exceptionally opulent, the Blue Room is located off the Ballroom and features a fresco by Cesare Rotta, silk wall coverings, golden leaf covered stuccos, and a bespoke chandelier. With a view onto the Canal Garden, the Blue Room is bathed in afternoon sunlight. For those hosting elegant cocktail parties, the room can accommodate 60 guests, or alternatively serve as a private dining room for up to 44.

The Bar

Located off the Ballroom, Aman Venice’s characterful bar features a fresco by Cesare Rotta, silk wall coverings, and a bespoke chandelier. With a view onto the Canal Grande Garden, the Bar enjoys the afternoon sunlight, while the hotel’s Head Mixologist creates personalised cocktails suited to your occasion.
