At Amankora’s Paro Lodge, a newly enhanced wellness experience harnesses its natural setting amidst towering pine forests overlooking the valley below. Alongside the lodge’s recently restored spa, yoga and movement studio and hot stone baths, two first-of-their-kind Aman Signature Spa Houses offer immersive hammam and banya treatments fostering a heightened sense of spiritual and physical wellbeing.

Banya Spa House

Set amid Paro’s pine forest, the Banya Spa House draws on Eastern European and Scandinavian traditions with oak- or birch-leaf bundles used to massage, stimulate and exfoliate, and an outdoor terrace with a cold plunge for taking in views of the river and a hilltop monastery.

Hammam Spa House

At Amankora Paro, the Hammam Spa House is a peaceful escape with a double treatment room, spacious relaxation area, cold plunge, outdoor pool, hot bath and steam room – all rooted in traditions that reach back to the Roman Empire and live on in Turkey and Morocco today.

Himalayan Hot Stone Bath

Inspired by a tradition, where river stones are heated and lowered into the bath to release beneficial minerals, while local Khempa herbs infuse the water with their healing properties.

Hike to Taktsang (Tiger's Nest)

Embark on the exhilarating four-hour hike to the Tiger’s Nest, the iconic 7th-century monastery that clings to the mountainside, 900 metres above the valley floor.
