Meandering in a sinuous s-shape through the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage-protected city, the Grand Canal is home to Aman Venice.

Venice has a humid subtropical climate, with cool winters and warm summers. The average temperature in January is 2.5°C (36.5°F) while in July the average temperature is around 23°C (73°F).

What to pack

Warm clothes are required during winter, while for the rest of the year light clothing is appropriate with a sweater and rain gear. Sports shoes are suitable for light touring and a wide-brimmed hat is always recommended during the day.

The official language is Italian. English is widely spoken alongside German, French and other European languages. The euro is Italy’s unit of currency.

Italy is on Central Europe Time (CET), one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), and observes Daylight Saving Time from March to October. Electricity is 220 volts/50 cycles; convertors as well as plug adaptors are available.
Medical services are available on call at Aman Venice. Pharmacies are in the vicinity of the Palazzo and the hospital only a 20 minute boat ride away.
