Destination 1: Japan

Begin in Kyoto, Japan’s cultural heart, where centuries-old traditions are revealed through temple visits and time spent among tranquil gardens. Set within its own, secluded forest setting, Aman Kyoto offers a serene base for exploring the city, with easy access to some of its most treasured landmarks. Explore the gilded splendour of Kinkaku-ji, wander through the atmospheric lanes of Gion and discover the age-old rituals of Kyoto’s temples and tea houses, before returning to the resort where ryokan-inspired pavilions and natural hot springs encourage restoration.

After time spent in the city, the secluded shores of Aman’s private island beckon. A tropical paradise surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Sulu Sea, ringed by powder-white sands and pristine coral reefs, Amanpulo invites a slower pace. The journey continues in spiritual Central Java, where Amanjiwo provides a spectacular vantage point for discovering the ancient temple complex of Borobudur. Rising from the surrounding landscape, this extraordinary ninth-century Buddhist monument is one of Southeast Asia’s greatest treasures. Explore its tiers of carved reliefs and monumental stupas with exclusive access, or venture further to discover traditional villages where the enduring traditions of Javanese culture are experienced firsthand.

Destination 7 & 8: Bosnia and Herzegovina & Turkey

Helicopter excursion to Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Take to the skies for a private helicopter journey to Mostar in nearby Bosnia and Herzegovina. Explore the UNESCO-listed Old Town and its atmospheric cobbled lanes before discovering the iconic Stari Most, the elegant 16th-century bridge spanning the Neretva River. Visit the historic Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque and take in panoramic views across the city, before returning by helicopter to Montenegro.

 

Expedition ends with a private jet flight to Istanbul, Turkey
