Amankora
The first resort in Bhutan and with five lodges across its central and western valleys, Amankora has been a part of this legendary Buddhist Kingdom for almost 20 years.
Set just back from Amankila’s serene signature three-tier pool, the Terrace is open for dinner, offering a rustic Italian menu with panoramic sea views. Herbs come from the resort’s own garden, while locally sourced fruit and vegetables are the result of Mount Agung’s fertile soil.
The closest to the water of all Amankila’s dining venues, The Terrace is just steps from a refreshing swim at the very heart of the resort. With the three-tiered pool that emulates Bali’s cascading rice paddies merging with the sky and the ocean far below, this serene venue serves just-caught seafood, the freshest of salads, and other light, refreshing fare.
Experience private poolside dining in one of the five, open-sided bales that almost float on the edge of the pool. Claiming expansive ocean views, these secluded dining venues can comfortably accommodate up to four guests reclining on cushioned banquettes.
Over 75% of the ingredients used on Amankila’s Terrace are sourced locally. From the Burrata, sourced from the only producer who makes burrata on the island, to favourites such as Polpo Alla Plancha (grilled octopus) caught by local fisherman, seasonal produce is paired with traditional Italian cooking methods, allowing each individual ingredient to shine.
The Terrace is open daily.
