Dining at Amandari

Seasonal ingredients are sourced from local organic farms, while freshly caught seafood is brought from the coast daily. The Restaurant 

Overlooking the swimming pool with all-embracing views of the Ayung River Valley, the open-air Restaurant serves Indonesian and Western cuisines for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The main dining room seats 48, while a private dining room upstairs caters for 12. Every evening at dusk, gamelan players perform their intriguing melodies accompanied by a chorus of birds. 

The Bar 

Glowing with the soft emerald light of sunshine through leaves, the Bar rests adjacent to the pool. The ideal location for a refreshing drink or light meal throughout the day, it is also the perfect spot for a cocktail to toast the setting sun. Open until 11pm every night, it is a convivial venue for after dinner drinks. 

Afternoon Tea 

Every day at 4pm, Ibu Made and Ibu Wayan from our village, Kedewatan, arrive with an array of traditional Balinese sweets and home brewed tea and coffee for your enjoyment. The Afternoon Tea is served at the Golden Pavilion, by the main resort pool. 

Bespoke Dining 

Watch the sun set as the waters of the Ayung River rush by below, then dine in consummate privacy with a menu designed just for you. Perched right on the lip of the Ayung River Gorge, the open-sided Bale can cater for up to four people. The Lotus Pond is another venue for private dining, offering seclusion and privacy for 8 diners.

Cooking in the village with Amandari

Visit the traditional village compound of Pak Wayan Sutana Bawa in the village of Kedewatan, where you will learn the basics of Balinese cooking. From the market, to Pak Bawa’s home and kitchen, you will be responsible for selecting the ingredients as well as preparing them.
