Summer in the city
From the sprawling metropolises of New York and Tokyo to the 100-island capital of Italy’s Veneto region, Aman’s urban sanctuaries come alive in the summer months.
This floating outpost of Aman drifts to different locations across the Indonesian archipelago depending on the season. For the Komodo expedition, Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) is the easiest option. For Raja Ampat and Spice Islands expedition, Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) is ideal. Ensuring the most effortless of arrivals, Aman’s dedicated Private Yacht team is on hand to assist with all travel planning, transfers and arrangements.
The nearest airport for the Komodo expedition, which departs from Labuan Bajo on the island of Flores, is Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). From here, a domestic flight connects the two in 75 minutes.
For the Raja Ampat expedition, which departs from Sorong, and the Spice Islands expedition, departing from Ambon, fly into Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), then catch a 3.5-hour flight to either Ambon (AMQ) or a 4.5-hour flight to Sorong (SOQ) from the Indonesian capital.
Indonesia offers a single-entry 30-day e-visa, applied for online in advance. A valid passport for at least six months and a return (or onward) ticket is also required. Aman recommends that all international guests refer to the official website for information on the latest entry requirements.
Aman’s Private Yacht team can arrange VIP transfers upon request.
