Gourmet market tours

Sprawling over colonnaded squares beside the canal, the Rialto market has been the gastronomic heart of the city for almost 1,000 years. Join Aman’s chef on a morning market tour, and discover seasonal, Veneto-grown fruits and vegetables, and a vast selection of fresh-from-the-lagoon fish and seafood, before returning to Aman Venice to sample the morning’s finds in a traditional Venetian lunch.

The hidden gardens of Venice

In a city of water and stone, green spaces come as small revelations. Among the alleyways and canals, private gardens are tucked away like secrets; often, the only giveaway being a cascade of wisteria over a balustrade. Discover these hidden enclaves of natural beauty with a personal tour of Venice’s most alluring gardens, including that of Casanova’s childhood home, and explore a world of powder-pink roses, manicured hedgerows, vegetable gardens, beds of lavender, and loggias enwrapped by Virginia creeper.

Palazzo Ducale

The Palazzo Ducale is one of the wonders of Venice, and the original Palazzo dates from the ninth century. The Secret Itinerary takes you to the hidden corners of the Palazzo Ducale on a special private visit that includes access to the rest of the Palace.

A very special private visit is possible for Aman Venice guests after closing time, between 7pm and 10pm.

Exhibiting Wallace Chan

Standing tall in Aman Venice from 13 May until the 31 October 2021, A Dialogue Between Materials and Time IV will showcase Wallace Chan’s contemplation on the relationship between materials, space and time – long the subject of the artist’s experimental impulses. Crafted from iron and titanium, the sculpture measures over two meters in height and weighs over 25-kilograms, in contrast to his previous works as one of the world’s most celebrated jewellery artists.

Exclusive to guests of Aman Venice, the opportunity to discover Wallace Chan's full collection, curated by James Putnam, at Fondaco Marcello can be arranged by the hotel’s concierge where a personal tour of the exhibition will be led by one of the gallery’s associates for a unique insight.

Aman Venice

The art of marbling

The technique of paper marbling has been practised for over a thousand years, coming to prominence in Europe during the Renaissance, when bookbinders and stationers employed it to create exquisite, marble-like patterns and colours on their endpapers. Guests of Aman Venice are invited to discover this rewarding, meditative art in a three-hour workshop with the city’s marbling experts, producing their own unique artworks to take home.

Aman Venice
