Advance Yoga Retreat

This October, Amanbagh will offer a seven-night Advanced Yoga Retreat (14-21 October) for intermediate and advanced yoga practitioners inspired and in honour of Kārtika, one of the holiest months in the Hindu calendar and celebrated as the month of awakening the soul with meditation. During this period, it is believed that slow, smooth and steadily paced yoga postures can lower the Vata Predominance in the body. In line with these local celebrations, guests can explore and enhance mind and body with this retreat, where the divine presence of temples and nature’s welcoming embrace offers a journey to ultimate serenity.

Amanpulo, Philippines

Extreme Water Sports Retreat

This December, Amanpulo's Extreme Water Sports Retreats invite guests to take advantage of the unique features of the surroundings with an individually tailored island sports itinerary, as hi-octane or low-key as they like. The 3.5-mile island-to-island open-water swim is arguably the most rewarding way to reach the nearby community on Manamoc Island, where one can also embark on a two-hour hike to the panorama-endowed summit of Mount English.

Back at Amanpulo, the Kite & Surf Centre’s professional instructors provide both beginner’s lessons and advanced coaching for those keen to take advantage of the legendary Amihan wind for an adrenaline-fuelled kitesurfing session. The PADI dive centre introduces guests to the wonders of the underwater world, with scuba and free diving excursions.

On the surface, make use of the resort’s watersports equipment, including pedalboards that strengthen core muscles and improve balance. The golden beach stretches 3.5 miles around the island creating a natural running track; inland, a jungle workout trail is woven among the trees, with obstacles ranging from monkey bars and a tyre run, to a rope and wall climb, designed to challenge strength and coordination.
