This Christmas Eve, Amanjiwo celebrates the season through the flavours of Java. Inspired by the lively kaki lima (five-foot way) street stalls found across the island, the evening brings together Javanese specialities prepared at live cooking stations, inviting guests to come together and dine beneath open skies.

Performed by children from the neighbouring village, Jathilan accompanies ceremonies marking births, marriages, house blessings and other significant occasions. Dressed in traditional costume and carrying woven horses, the young performers continue a practice that has shaped village celebrations for centuries.
