Venues
Courtyard
Designed to pay homage to Old Town’s Unesco-celebrated Nakhi architecture, Amandayan features multiple courtyards that serve as intimately private outdoor spaces for relaxation or smaller events. A romantic choice for ceremonies or receptions of up to 30 guests, each courtyard has its own distinct feel and outlook, depending on where its located within the property.
Outdoor Swimming Pool
Resting next to the Aman Spa and ideal for hosting smaller ceremonies and receptions alongside, Amandayan’s tranquil 20-metre outdoor pool is the chosen venue for many open-air celebrations. Exuding an atmosphere of profound serenity enhanced by Jade Dragon Snow Mountain on the horizon, this intimate setting can accommodate up to 50 seated guests.
The Lounge
A regal yet welcoming venue with lofty ceilings and soaring wooden pillars, the Lounge can host up to 80 guests for a seated event or can be configured to serve as a superb venue for welcome drinks or a cocktail party. Delicate lanterns and intricate wooden screens add an air of timeless romance, while views gaze outward over the rooftops of Lijiang to the mountains on the horizon.
Man Yi Xuan Restaurant (Indoor)
Amandayan’s serene Chinese restaurant is aptly known as Man Yi Xuan, meaning ‘lingering peace’. Seating up to 88 guests, it boasts views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from almost every angle, as well as four private dining rooms. Serving a mix of Yunnan and Western-style cuisines, the focus is on dishes showcasing the wealth of seasonal ingredients sourced from the landscapes framed by the restaurant’s wood-lined windows.
Outdoor Terrace
A magnificent setting for outdoor cocktail parties of up to 200 guests standing or 100 seated guests for celebratory dinners beneath the stars, Amandayan’s expansive main terrace is surrounded by nature with endless mountain views. It enjoys a secluded and consummately private setting on the property, making it an ideal space for dancing the night away.
Tea House (Indoor)
Set over two levels with sublime views of Old Town and the mountains beyond, the Tea House offers indoor dining for intimate gatherings of up to 12 guests, as well as a spectacular outdoor terrace. Delicate dim sum and traditional Chinese and Western tea sets with savouries, cakes and pastries are usually served, but as with every Aman venue – menus are entirely personalised to suit both event and guest requirements.
