Located a 90-minute drive from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), Amandari is tucked away in the Indonesian island’s culture-rich Ubud highlands, on a verdant lip of the Ayung River Gorge. Ensuring the most effortless of arrivals, Amandari’s dedicated concierge team is on hand to assist with all travel planning, transfers and arrangements.
The nearest airport to Amandari is Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). From here, it’s a 90-minute drive to reach the resort.
From 14 February 2024, to promote responsible tourism and protect the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of Bali, the Balinese government has introduced a compulsory Tourism Levy of IDR 150,000 (approximately USD 10). It is strongly recommended to make the payment ahead of arrival in Indonesia. Travellers can settle this payment via Love Bali website. Confirmation of payment will be sent out via email and scanned upon entry in all airports and seaports.
The Indonesian Immigration Agency has also launched an online pre-arrival application. The application is to be completed via a government portal operated by the Directorate General of Immigration Ministry of Law and Human Rights to obtain an e-VOA - a single-entry visa that is valid for stays of up to 30 days with the purpose of tourism, government visits, business meetings, goods purchasing, or transit only. To apply for the e-VOA and to check the countries eligible, please click here.
The ECD form should be prepared at least three days prior to arrival in Indonesia. One form per family should be completed, following which a QR code will be received. It is advised to save the QR code to a mobile device or print it out ready for arrival. If you arrive at Bali customs without a QR code, you will be asked to complete the form and be required to queue again. The official form itself can be found here.
