Each year, The Patisserie celebrates Japan’s International Women’s Day with a unique pasty created by Executive Pastry Chef Yoshihisa Miyagawa. This year, the day is marked with a Mimosa Cake, in homage to the Italian Festa della Donna. Also known as Mimosa Day, on Festa della Donna, it is traditional to gift mimosa flowers, to symbolise female strength and beauty. Combining a light cream cheese mousse and elegant citrus jelly, the cake resembles a delicate mimosa flower. Available at The Patisserie from 1 – 31 March, the cake makes the perfect gift of appreciation for a loved one, or a well-deserved treat for oneself.
