Summer in the city
From the sprawling metropolises of New York and Tokyo to the 100-island capital of Italy’s Veneto region, Aman’s urban sanctuaries come alive in the summer months.
Understanding how to simply let go
Known as the ‘Great Perfection’, Dzogchen is a system of training that awakens the intrinsic nature of the mind – utterly perfect and free from duality. This retreat introduces the meditation practice and its theory, guiding participants to let thoughts arise and depart without judgement or action – simply letting go and letting be – to better occupy and live in the present moment.
Surrounded by pristine nature on Vietnam's dramatic coastline, Geshe La leads a transformative four-day journey into Dzogchen practice, with a daily programme of meditation, chanting and group workshops. Each day is devoted to a different step of the Fivefold Teaching aiming to still unquiet minds and help participants find solace and clarity in the present moment.

Geshe La became a Buddhist monk when he was just 13 years old, taking his vows at the revered Nangzhig Bönpo monastery. In the three decades since, his spiritual journey has taken him all over the world, from studying with the 14th Dalai Lama to introducing and teaching the YungDrung Bon Buddhism in Canada, where he currently resides. Today, he is one of a very few Bon spiritual masters living in the West and qualified to offer this teaching.
