The iconic Balinese dance incorporates a troupe of 50 men and depicts an epic battle from the Ramayana scriptures, where the monkey-like Vanara joined Prince Rama in fighting the evil King Ravana. The chorus of chanting comprises seven different rhythms, each delicately interwoven to create a complex tapestry of sounds.
