Resort

Amangani - which means “peaceful home” - is perched on the edge of East Gros Ventre Butte in Jackson Hole, a high mountain valley in Wyoming.

Destination

Set atop East Gros Ventre Butte, Amangani is a short drive from Jackson Hole Airport (JAC).

Weather

Spring, from late April to June, is marked by mild days and cold nights, with some rain and occasional snow. Summer and Autumn offer sunny days and cool nights. Rain eventually gives way to snow. Winter brings with it enough deep snow to keep a skier happy well into April.

What to pack

In the winter months, warm clothes and waterproof shoes are recommended, along with ski gear if planning to hit the slopes. In the summer months, hiking boots and layers are preferable. Useful equipment to bring along when visiting the national parks includes binoculars and a camera.

Language & Currency
English is the most common language in the US. The US dollar is the unit of currency. ATMs can be found at local banks and Amangani also facilitates currency exchange at a service fee of 5%.
Don’t Forget
Jackson Hole is on Mountain Standard Time (MST), two hours behind Eastern Standard Time (EST) or minus six hours GMT. Electricity is 110 volts/60 cycles; converters for 220-volt appliances as well as plug adaptors are available.
Health
Medical services are available round the clock at Amangani. The nearest clinic is approximately 10 minutes away and the closest hospital is in the town of Jackson, about a 15-minute drive to the resort.
Visas

Please check with your nearest US embassy or consulate prior to travel. Guests travelling to the US and holding passports that fall under the Visa Waiver Programme are required to apply online for advance authorisation before travelling. This must be completed at least 72 hours before travel, and once approved is valid for two years or until the passport expires.

Notes

Amangani is open year round. The team can advise on visas as well as assist with any other travel arrangements, including transfers and private flights.
