2019 Festive Season at Aman Tokyo

This festive season, Aman Tokyo is also celebrating its 5th anniversary with a variety of special events planned for guests over the festive period. The special menus, events and gifts will culminate in a spectacular countdown party where we will welcome 2020 together. For the new year, you can experience “Kagamibiraki”, which is to break open a ceremonial sake barrel, and “Mochitsuki”, the rice pounding ceremony.

New Year's Eve

A special gala dinner will be served at Italian Restaurant “Arva”, before transforming the space into a chic party venue under the lantern lit ceiling. With a glass of champagne in your hand, enjoy casino games, the DJs party music, live Jazz, Japanese samurai performance and other entertainment. The highlight of the night will be the countdown which will take place in the Garden Lounge under the 30-metre high ceiling.

At Musashi by Aman, master sushi chef Hiroyuki Musashi, whose career spans over 30 years, pays absolute attention to detail at every step - from preparing the fish and rice to serving to the customers. His quest for aesthetic perfection and dedication can be seen through the quality of his work. This festive season, sake will be served in red and green Edo Kiriko cutting glasses. Special turn down amenity for New year “Hatsuyume”

In Japan, it is said to be good luck if a person dreams of Mt. Fuji, Taka (hawk), or Nasu (aubergine). Delicious, aubergine sweets will be delivered to the guests’ rooms as a turn down gift to wish them good luck for the year ahead.

Arva will be serving dishes of winter’s delicacy, black truffles from Italy and France. Our executive chef will prepare a traditional Italian course and finish the dishes with black truffle, shaved onto the dishes table side. Starting on Monday, 17 June, Musashi by Aman is offering lunch course. Master Chef Musashi visits Toyosu fish market every morning for the freshest ingredients for his Edomae style sushi. 34 years of dedication for his work bring you modern and sophisticated taste, while you oversee the forest behind the window.

If Sundays are for lazy lunches with friends and family, then Arva’s new sharing menu is the perfect offering, and its lofty position over the Tokyo skyline is the ideal setting. Lunch starts with the Antipasto Mille Gusti – a dish of “a thousand tastes” – followed by a squid pasta, tender roast pork loin, and sumptuous assorted desserts – all made with the finest seasonal ingredients.
