Celebrate the official Japanese New Year known as Oshogatsu – a three-day festival observed since 1873 – and welcome 2023 from the heights of the Otemachi Tower at Aman Tokyo.
Falling on the first three days of January each year, Oshogatsu is literally rung in with bells at midnight on 31 December and sees celebrants dining on toshikoshi and osechi and making sweet mochi from pounded white rice. Stay for two nights and enjoy a special Japanese breakfast, a bottle of Hakurakusei Aman Tokyo Original Sake, and a Japanese or American breakfast on the 2nd January.
