Whether an intimate courtyard dinner beside a trickling fountain or a wedding banquet in an elaborate Caidal Tent, every private celebration at Amanjena is instilled with the traditions of North Africa while menus abound with the fragrant spices of this exotic land.
Weddings
In a place where rose petals in fountains is a daily occurrence, weddings at Amanjena are effortlessly filled with romance and charm. Usually celebrated over several days, marital traditions include the giving of traditional gifts such as sugar, milk and flowers, relaxing hammam purification and beauty rituals, and other bonding experiences such as tea ceremonies and the application of mehndi (henna) in the lead up to the event. Say your vows beside the vast reflective bassin at the property’s heart, then dance until dawn, when a celebratory breakfast is served with the rising sun.

When celebrating a special occasion at Amanjena, the opportunities for realising one’s vision are not confined to Amanjena’s spectacular grounds. Whether an anniversary dinner for two atop a desert dune, a group picnic lunch in the High Atlas Mountains, or a festive celebration in a traditional tent setup, Amanjena’s expert team will ensure every detail – from menus to transport – is taken care of.
The venues
Water Bassin
In an atmosphere of Arabesque ornaments, Berber carpets and the glow of 1001 candle lit lanterns from the Medina Amanjena’s Bassin makes a stunning setting for almost any event, an ideal venue for a wedding ceremony, a birthday party or a corporate event. A contemporary culinary feast for up to 500 guests can be arranged along with entertainment of your choice while the expansive space can host parties for up to 1200 guests standing when The Bassin is covered.
Lounges
From the dramatic hotel entrance, flanked by courtyards with fountains carrying the fresh scent of rose petals, opens a central lobby with two lounges framing the gracious arrival pavilion. For refined cocktail receptions, the venue can host up to 200 guests standing or 50 guests seated.
Caidal Tent
Traditionally used by Moroccan dignitaries as they travelled across the desert, Caidal Tent’s offer an authentic and intimate space for a unique celebration. At Amanjena, an ornately decorated Caidal provides the atmospheric setting for candlelit private dinners for up 25 guests with feasting accompanied by live Moroccan music.

Pool Terrace
In a Moorish decor, overlooking the Arabesque arches and the surrounding water ponds, the Pool Terrace features a 33 by 13 meters the green tiled pool. With spectacular views at sunset, the venue is the ideal setting for wedding receptions and dinners for large groups, hosting up to 500 guests standing and 250 guests seated. The pool will be covered to accommodate larger groups.
The Olive Grove
From cocktails to seated dinners, The Olive Grove’s picturesque view of the Amelkis golf course and the ancient olives trees that surround makes a stunning setting for almost any event. Seating up to 250 guests, and with room for 500 when standing, it is an ideal venue for a wedding ceremony, a themed brunch, a casual barbeque or an Alfresco cocktail party.
