Amangiri

The desert beneath a sky full of stars will be filled with classical music on Christmas Eve as the Carpenter siblings perform on their collector’s item Stradivarius violins and viola. Sean, Lauren and David will perform with their orchestra and mingle with guests thereafter, when the award-winning Navajo Hoop dancers will perform.

Amankila

On 24 December, the Balinese Legong Performers will dance as the sun sets over the Lombok Strait. The Sekar Jagat is a dance created to welcome the Gods and Goddesses to Earth, while the Baris dance is a dramatic solo depicting a powerful young warrior. The Keraton dance depicts three young female characters, with each dancer assuming several different roles.

Amanpulo

The Filipino Christmas Eve dinner, Noche Buena, is the most joyous occasion of the season. Executive Chef Erwin Joven will present a traditional Filipino festive feast, with dishes that trace their roots back to Spanish colonial times.

Amanbagh

Experience the thrill and excitement of polo with a twist on Christmas Day in the Aravalli Hills. In Amanbagh’s version of ‘The Sport of Kings’, camels replace horses for the morning match. Afterwards a festive Christmas lunch is served with an Indian streetfood theme. A camel also replaces Rudolph as Santa’s mount for the day – sure to delight our younger guests.

Aman Venice

After midnight mass and hot chocolate on Christmas Eve and decadent Christmas Day in the palazzo, bundle up and join the Aman Venice Christmas Walk on Boxing Day. Stroll through the lanes and over the many bridges of Venice, and on the way home, opt to visit the world-renowned Peggy Guggenheim collection.

Amanera

On several different occasions over the festive period, guests will have the opportunity to participate in the handrolling of Aman’s fine Dominican cigars while sipping a range of rums explained by the experts.

Amankora

A highly anticipated part of Amankora’s festive line up is the annual archery competition, held on 29 December. The national sport of Bhutan, archery is practiced in every village throughout this Buddhist Kingdom. Guests can also try the traditional drink that accompanies the competition, ‘ara’, a locally produced fermented grain beverage.

For this festive season, Masakazu Hiraki, Chef de Cuisine of The Restaurant by Aman, offers dishes such as scallop carpaccio with sea urchin, crown daisy, bottarga roe and beetroot, the colours of which are chosen to chime with the celebratory mood, accompanied by beautiful floor to ceiling views of Tokyo.

Amanjiwo will host the Kaki Lima Dinner on 30 December with views over the rice paddies to Borobudur. Experience the charm and vibrancy of Java’s local food scene with the region’s most renowned street vendors cooking alongside the resort’s magnificent swimming pool. During dinner, a series of dances deeply rooted in Java’s history will be staged by a local dance troupe.

Amanjena

Hike into the Atlas Mountains with one of Amanjena’s knowledgeable guides on 30 December and enjoy a Berber picnic in a meadow, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
