Amanbagh

Flutist in the courtyard at Amanbagh

A peaceful contemporary sanctuary

Tucked away in the rugged Aravalli Hills, the lush garden estate of Amanbagh is a place to retreat, relax and rejuvenate, surrounded by the colour and tranquillity of nature. Inspired by the palaces of the Mughals, who once used this area for hunting, the salmon-pink walls hold a vast complex of just 37 suites, guaranteeing guests space and privacy.

For those focused on restoration and healing, the resort’s holistic spa draws on the principles of Ayurveda to provide personally tailored Wellness Immersions guided by specialist practitioners. For more adventurous guests, it is a gateway to unforgettable wilderness discoveries in the Sariska Tiger Reserve or the hill forts of Rajasthan. For gourmets, Amanbagh’s chefs perform culinary alchemy on the organic garden produce grown on site to deliver exceptional Indian dining both at the restaurant and in a range of intimate settings off-site.

Restful seclusion in Rajasthan

For a taste of Amanbagh’s restorative serenity, the resort invites guests to rural Rajasthan to find peace among the palms and eucalyptus. A welcome antidote to the pressures of urban life, the resort is easily reached from Delhi, Agra, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and many other major cities. Book a stay before  31 March and take advantage of 10% reductions on dining and spa treatments, with daily breakfast for two, guided walks and yoga session included.

Aman-i-khas

A majestic self-contained oasis

On 1 October, Aman’s camp on the edge of Ranthambore National Park reopens, welcoming guests back to a land of stark beauty, Mughal-era romance and nature untamed.

Spanning just 10 batman-serviced Pavilions – each with soaring canvas ceilings and discreet, spacious areas for sleeping, living and bathing – Aman-I-Khas combines the freedom of the wild with the cosseting indulgence of a hotel. No barriers separate the tents from the surrounding nature, so guests feel truly at one with the wilderness. Twice a day, expert-guided Jeep safaris venture deep into the vast expanse of Ranthambore, promising close encounters with langurs, macaques, leopards and the Bengal tigers for which the park is renowned and revered.

Wilderness break

To mark its reopening, Aman-I-Khas invites residents into the wild heart of Rajasthan to experience the restorative tranquillity of nature. The exclusive two-night stay includes accommodation in one of the camps’ tents and all daily meals in the Mughal-inspired dining tent, as well as daily open-air yoga sessions soundtracked by birdsong. Guests will visit the Spa Tent for an hour-long Ayurveda-influenced treatment for two during their stay, and can also take advantage of a guided visit to the Unesco-recognised 10th-century ruins of Ranthambore Fort, one of the oldest and most impressive of India’s historic hill forts.

A camp of your own

For group gatherings, Aman-I-Khas is available for exclusive use – an entire safari camp to call one’s own. Take over the 10 Pavilions with family and friends and experience the joys of life under canvas without compromising on comfort.

Up to two guests in each tent will be invited to a private yoga class and 60-minute Aman Raj Spa experience during their stay. Meals and drinks will be included and the camp’s spa tent, library and lounge will be the group’s private disposal, as will the step-well swimming pool and fire-pit terrace – the ideal place to swap stories after a day’s safari in Ranthambore, or to hear the extraordinary tales of veteran wildlife guide Daulat Singh.
